It is the sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs , which was released in 2009. It is being directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, produced by Kirk Bodyfelt, and production executive director of the first film, Phil Lord and Chris Miller . 4 Distributed by Columbia Pictures , the film is scheduled for release on September 27 2013 in United States 5 and October 4, 2013 in Brazil .
The screenplay was written by John Francis Daley , Jonathan Goldstein and Erica Rivinoja, 4 and is based on an original story, and not as the first film that is inspired by book Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs , the second will not be based on literary sequel , Pickles to Pittsburgh . 7 Cloudy 2 will continue after the end of the first film, where a satellite maker food gets out of control, but its creator, the young inventor Flint and his friends eventually manage to stop him. Following, Flint and his friends are forced to leave his hometown, but when the food machine awakens, this time producing animals and live foods, they must return to save the world.
More of the most original voices of the cast of the first film will reprise their roles: Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood, Anna Faris as Sam, James Caan as Tim Lockwood, Andy Samberg as Brent, Neil Harris as Steve and Benjamin Bratt . The film begins where the previous one ends. Flints dream was always to be recognized as a great inventor, but everything changes when he discovers that his most infamous invention that turns water into food, is still operating and is now creating mutant monsters made of food, comidanimais. With the fate of humanity in his hands, Flint and his friends must embark on dangerous quest eventually, fighting chimpanzees mixed with prawns , spiders cheese with bacon (queijaranhas), crocodiles made taco (tacodilos) and other creatures made of food.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs ( lit. At an early age, Flint Loco (Lockwood) (Bill Hader) has always wanted to invent something awesome, yet every one of his inventions were disastrous, as the television remote control, the Descalvisiador, the flying car, the rat birds and your shoes aerosol sprayer. He grew up misunderstood by his father Tim (James Caan). His mother, Fran (Lauren Graham), always believed he could succeed, but she died 10 years before the story, leaving Flint with his father. Snack lives in Flint Island (Swallow Falls), a village on an island below the letter "A" of the Atlantic in the Atlantic Ocean. Since the sardine factory Baby Brent closed, the economy fell and left with sardines snack Island as its first and only food source. Flint, with the help of his monkey, Steve (Neil Patrick Harris), speaking through a translator thought, invents a machine that uses microwave radiation to mutate water into food.
